We would like to make a point of answering a very important question: “Why should you hire us?”
It’s a fair question and we’ve given sincere thought to our answer. While there are other firms with health law practices, there are four key reasons we believe you will have a different (and better) experience working with Dean & Dugger PLLC.
We have in-house health care experience.
In our former roles in the legal and administrative departments of health care organizations, we have functioned as a part of the clients we now represent.
Our advice and work product are strongly influenced by our first hand knowledge of what will be useful to a client, and what will not. Many lawyers can obtain a correct answer to a question. Our attorneys stand apart by using their experience as the recipients of good (and poor) legal advice. This experience enables us to provide not only correct answers but also practical solutions.
We limit our practice to health law.
We have always believed that to remain as competent and qualified as possible in the area of health law, it is important to limit our practice to this area.
It is a simple fact that health law is complex and we believe health care clients are best served by attorneys who dedicate themselves exclusively to following the numerous and frequent developments in the laws and regulations that govern this industry.
We tell you if we believe another firm can serve you better.
Unfortunately, we have encountered attorneys and firms who “never met a client they couldn’t help” and “never saw a matter they couldn’t handle.” We categorically reject the notion that any attorney or firm can be all things to all clients.
While we assist clients with a wide range of health law matters, we also understand that some matters are best handled by a firm or attorney with skills or experience we do not possess. When this is the case, our policy is simple: we tell the client and assist with obtaining the best counsel for the job.
We have been told this is unwise and represents a voluntary relinquishment of opportunity. We disagree. This approach has actually been a key factor in the long-term growth of our business. It allows us to continually earn the trust of our existing clients and produces many enthusiastic referrals of new clients.
We check our egos at the door.
We have consistently observed that personality can greatly augment or impair an attorney’s effectiveness as well as the quality of a client’s experience. This is why we have chosen a team of professionals who share similarly open and amicable demeanors.
These traits are critically important because they are catalysts for communication. Through our experience as both attorneys and clients, we have come to know that any legal advice is only as valuable as an attorney’s ability to effectively communicate the advice so that a client can understand and act on it.
